Welcome to Hired 2 Die - Your new Horror Addiction
Hello guys!
After some crazy ideas, we started working on this project to deliver a unique horror experience. I would like to present to you Hired 2 Die, a game focused on cooperation and coordination to solve problems, tasks, and puzzles while creepy things happen to the players. Below you can find out more about our plans:
Basics
As you already know H2D is a horror game that features two-player coop matches. The game uses a PVE system and the Proximity Voice Chat feature will allow players to create strategies and coordinate to deal with the creatures in the game. The first playable version of the game will be released as an Early Access version, we will keep you posted with the dates, but we expect to have this at the beginning of 2022.
The Contract
You and a friend have been hired to complete a randomly generated job contract. It will define the place, objectives, and circumstances of the match. As you progress in the game the complexity of contracts will increase and you will need to be more cautious with your actions.
One match can last many workdays (in-game time), but each contract has a different deadline. Time management will be a very important skill in H2D.
Objective
Usually, an objective consists in fixing a system that is not working, the problem is that sometimes parts of this system are missing. Using a manual the players must figure out what type of items are missing and what to do with them. Communication is very important here, while one player can access a manual in the main office the other informs the characteristics of the puzzle.
Systems
There are several systems in the environment such as:
- Internet Store - You and your friend will need to buy items in order to stay alive in the game, also, if parts of the objective are missing you can buy them here. Each item has a delivery time, sometimes it may take more than a workday for it to arrive.
- CCTV - Cameras are essential if you don’t want to bump into the enemy. Also, you don’t need to wander in the dark you can ask your friend to go while you guide them.
- Lights and Energy - Remotely turn on and off lights in the environment to guide your friend, but be careful, you can accidentally use all the energy of the place. If that happens you will need to restart the energy.
Anomalies
Anomalies are strange things that happen with the environment, sometimes it can be really hard to find them and some of them are only visible using a special camera that can spot anomalies. If you find one, take a picture, you can sell it online on the local computer and use the money to buy items in the store.
The Enemies
Each creature has a unique behavior, the first creatures we announced on our social media are The Twins. They have a really cool characteristic: if you are staring at one, he won’t move. But, it’s really difficult to stare at both at the same time, that’s why you need your friend to survive!
Plans for the Future
Anyway, we’ve talked a little about the game, but we are preparing much more for the future. Currently, we are working to have an Early Access version of the game as soon as possible. We want you to be part of it!
VR is something we are considering at some point in the Early Access version. We are avoiding features that could possibly break the VR version. Until then we will keep you posted on this.
There are tons of features we discussed internally, but it is not certain that we can develop them all. So we won’t spoil you with any of it. We depend on the results of the Early Access to even consider them. I hope we can deliver the best experience possible.
